(JW Insights) July 12 -- Chinese EV giant BYD's Wang Chuanfu continued to top the Forbes China's top 50 best CEOs list with BYD's doubled revenue and net profit exceeding RMB 10 billion ($1.39 billion), according to the latest list released on July 12.

In the past three years, Forbes China's Best CEO list has changed more frequently than before 2020. This year, only 10 CEOs are consecutive finalists. Only BYD's Wang Chuanfu, CATL's Zeng Yuqun, and Inovance Technology's Zhu Xingming have relied on stable ratings to maintain their winning streak in the past three years.

CATL's Zeng Yuqun (2nd), Hygon Information's Sha Chaoqun (11th), Luxshare LCT's Wang Laichun (14th), Inovance Technology's Zhu Xingming (17th), TCL Zhonghuan's Shen Haoping (19th), iFlytek's Liu Qingfeng(20th), JSG's He Jun (29th), JCET Group's Zheng Li (43rd), Empyrean's Yang Xiaodong (47th), and Pacific Quartz's Chen Shibin (50th) are also on the list.

This year, the list, for the first time, relaxes the requirement that companies must maintain profitability for three consecutive years and pays more attention to improving financial indicators such as company revenue and profit and the rapid recovery ability of companies after encountering uncertainties and business resilience.

Compared with last year, the average age of Forbes China's best CEOs dropped by 0.5 years. Among the 40 new faces on the list this year, 12 are CEOs under the age of 50. From the perspective of industry distribution, the number of CEOs in the hard technology and high-end manufacturing fields continues last year's advantage, accounting for more than half.
