(JW Insights) Apr 6 -- The wholesale of new energy passenger cars is estimated to reach 600,000 in March in China, up by 20% month-on-month and 30% year-on-year, said the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) on April 4.

CPCA also said the sales of new energy vehicle manufacturers in the first quarter are estimated to be 1.48 million, a year-on-year increase of 25%.

BYD sold more than 206,000 vehicles, and Tesla China sold 88,869 in March. Other manufacturers with more than ten thousand car wholesales in March include GAC Aion, SAIC Motor, Geely, Changan Automobile, Li Auto, Nio, SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile, NETA Auto, and Great Wall Motor, said CPCA.

The price war in the auto industry continued in March. Most companies are affected, except those leading ones, judging from the current public data.

Lithium prices are still falling, which may intensify the price war among new energy vehicle manufacturers, JW Insights reported.
